Difference between V8 & V9 STI

Anyone know the actual differences between the V8 sti and the wider track V9 sti (other than DCCD and interior styling)?

Wide track says it all bud. IIRC the MY05> (V9) wheelbase is about 4" wider & has front LSD which gives a better handling experience (apparently). I think the V9 also has a 2.5L engine.

Engine in the version 9 is a 2.0 and has stronger conrods than the version 8, they will run between 450-500bhp so im lead to beleive no problem with supporting mods, different seats as the black bits on the seat have lines on them were the v8 is just flat they actually hold you better aswell, different steering wheel and centre console, obviously the wider track and dccd box in it, think thats about it m8 unless anyone else can think of anything, speaking from driving gavs v9 and owning a v8

Sure I read an Andy K (?) post saying the V9 is pretty much a Hawkeye STi with the 2.0 engine - sort of used the last version of the Blobeye STi's as a test bed for the new Hawkeye.

Cheers lads, just trying to decide what to go for next out of a WR1, V9 STI, V10 STI or another V8 STI after selling my old one a few weeks ago to buy the missus a BMW 118D. I like the Blobeye look but prefer the interiors on the V9/10 and if the engines are better on the V9's then that's made my decision for me... defo gunna go for a V9 STI

As Robbo 22 and clarky have said a v9 is a hawkeye with a 2.0 engine and different front end.
