NESF Calendar

Seem as we failed last time because we left it too late to sort out, there's 6 month to go this time, so was just wondering of there is going to be an NESF Calendar for 2013, as there is a lot of us going to the NBO we could sort out some nice group shots

That sounds like a good plan

I think there would be alot of people interested in one of these, I defo would!

The only problem we had last time was a time constraint.

Ive given this some thought and to be honest, with 750+ members who all love these cars, I think we only have 2 choices :

1) Someone puts their cock on the block and selects 12 cars, and we all accept that decision is final. Job done.

OR

2) We do it as a knockout over 2-3 months, like they do for Impreza Idol

In this case we'd work backwards from the deadline - lets say hypothetically going to print early/mid November - start the format 1st week August, giving folks nearly 2 months from now to get photos ready for submission - and run the polls Aug/Sept/Oct.


I think #2 has more merit than #1, but takes more effort, which I'll happily pitch in and support.

Think the best way is to have 10 photos per page that way we have 120 places?

the competition should be for the front cover IMHO.

Seriously though NBO is a good idea, will get some nice group shots, and maybe the calendar should be made up of only pics from nbo, and the people sorting the calendar out should pick the photos, hope I'm not starting something, just a little input.

If it comes down to ill choose the pics lol i dont mind being the blame for some members not making the cut lmao

Or i could sit with the pics which members would like on the callender and get them all in sumhow lol im a dab hand with photoshop very much dout wel get every member wanting to be in

I've already booked my passage to Outer Mongolia .. out of the way for the whole thing because if I were to stay and the same thing as last time happened I'd be locked up either by the police for GBH or by Doctors for going insane (worse than I am normally).

Just remember the following to be true ... 'too many cooks spoil the broth'.

And if one person is tasked with sorting it out ... keep yer nose out and don't meddle lol.

how about everyone sends in their best pics by a certain date, then get who ever robbo22 chooses to produce the calendar to pick the photos that are to be used?

then nobody from nesf can be accused of favouritism or bias towards anyone, and if your in then its because yours was a good pic of your car?

it would be great opening your new nesf calendar to find you'd made the final cut

I think this is a really good idea from John and may stop a lot of arguments,their will be a few of us with cameras at nbo so should get some decent pictures throughout the day which will make a good calendar
