Renault Megane sport....

Ok my pal has asked me to see if we can get his car sorted....he's open to a few options.....first of all it's a 55 plate in good condition, water pump failed so caused a blown engine.....it's stood on the drive for months now, he's asked about a rebuild and costs? Tbh am not in the know as to wot it would cost £$££££......he's also asked if they bring good money bust? Or would any1 be interested in buying it as it is...........can any1 shed some light on all of this as am flat out at the mo but said I'd ask about for him......I think busting would we a better option but wot are they worth in bits given its got head damage???

could try one of the megane forums for offloading or ebay if theres any with blown engines see what pricer there doing on that ?

They not cheap to repair normally 16 valves plus a few valve guides, breaking them duznt bring anything like Impreza stuff and can be a lot of ball ache for little return,
As is its not worth much cos they French shite, and not worth much without damage it'd try shitbay

Best thing to do with this is get an engine from a breaker and sell it fixed, as said they are worth nothing in bits.

Cheers chaps.....given the cost of a new (2nd hand) engine and the labour to do it he will look into it........other than that it's got to go as it is......£500 is no good gav marra I'd get that for the turbo and box ;0).....he's been told aload of crap or is it? New engine in this means the ecu from the engine for it to work??? Fook knows its a key card start!.......for that reason I hate French cars lol
