Hi all. thought i would join up after speaking to another member in the garage today. usually up to my eyes in mazda mx5 as i run a specialist garage but recently bought myself an rb5.

a quick pic i snapped earlier

as i bit of background i am a real car nut and also do a fair bit of racing. quick pic of the race car. i know, its a hairdressers car (one of the sponsors is a hair salon too!) but it is 350bhp and 900kg!

anyway.. hello!

thanks for the warm welcome!

never thought about it before but guess i like 5's RB5 and mx5!

the mx5 races in the NSSCC (northern sports and saloon car championship). we also ravw in the MA5DA championship but that is with another car wich has to be basically standard.

the spec of the NSSCC car is far too big to list but the engine is a bored out 1.8 block with forged rods and pistons, acl race bearings, arp fasteners all round, ported head with 1mm oversized stainless valves, uprated valve springs and titanium retainers, gt2871 turbo, motec management and the list goes on. it made 355bhp on the dyno at evotune when the map was tweaked soon after i built it. if anyone fancies a read there is a build thread bit i am unable to podt a link. just google ak automotive race car build and it will be top of the list.

as for the wheel alignment i am sure we could work out some sort of discount for the forum. not sure how much i am allowed to talk about it....
