Rang auto glass today for a quote for a rear window replacement fair to say I nearly s**t my self when they came back with a quote of £1300 EH!!!!

Just inform them you want a regualr glass screen, not to fussed on the gold one.

Buy the shocking repair kits that are out there for it. You literally paint on some new elements and hey presto !
Never used them thankfully but i have seen them.

I rang them for a rear Megane window and it was about £800. I eventually had one fitted by Auto Windscreens who use UK call centres, their branch manager from Newcastle rang me back and beat every other quote.
Top job done at home for £180.

Robbing fookers. I once had a quote of £580 for a front screen for a 1999 Micra. Ended up getting the exact same screen for £125 fitted from Motorglass in Darlington. Top job too as they came out to my workplace to do the job.
