| going to get the scoob fully resprayed over christmas (door shuts and all) its an obsidian black pearl blobeye thats despoilered and soon to be low if that helps. think ive settled on some form of white but not 100% sure. just wondered if anyone had seen anything unusual that looked good on a scoob that i hadn't seen or thought about. don't mind something a bit off the wall either. also wheel colours to consider (18" rota grids, currently gunmetal), if i go white it will probably be a minty green for the wheels similar to this hatch. (sorry about the pic size, don't know how to shrink it:P) cheers for reading, Mike | |

| what colour is that? looks like two tone flip paint, trying to avoid those as its a bugger to paint match if you have a scrape or want to add something | |

| that yellow blob looks fantastic, reminds me of an r32 skyline i saw in that colour, definitely tempting - Stick wrote:

What about a ncie sepang bronze or a nice pearl white. bronze/brown had crossed my mind, been thinking of the VW bronze that they do, but that BMW bronze is lovely too. only thing that puts me off is its still a dark colour, and one of the reasons i'm painting mine is because black is such a ball ache to keep looking good, especially with our weather. seen some lovely pearl whites, could be an idea. cheers guys, keep em coming

Had a Championship white Honda Integra Type R years ago which i didn't find too bad to keep on top of, yes it shows the dirt a bit, but its great at hiding the inevitable swirl marks and occasional holograms in the paint, where as black is very very unforgiving in that department. i can deal with giving it a wash often, but with black you really have to be careful when polishing it for holograms, especially when the paint is as soft as Subaru's

| i like matte white too, but isn't matte really high maintenance? ive heard horror stories about the BMW satin finish paint they do, thought matte would be similar. a friend had an evo 6 in a candy red colour years ago, and his was a bit too much fast and furious for me, always reminds me of that so its probably a no go. plus its more than twice the price of most "standard" paints | |
