Your views please -

I've got a Hawk STi. The Missus a Lexus IS250. The little fella wants a MX bike and I will probably get one too. Problem is. ....... How do I transport them?

both cars don't suit towbars. Her car is shite in anything but dry or damp roads and won't be much use across a field or two. Mine is obviously better.

Can you get removable towbars or should I swap for a 4x4 of some sort.

I can't justify or park a Transit just for 2 Sundays a month.

What have members used in the past?

Regards

Rob

Is there someone he wants to do the MX with so you can share a trailer with?

Most van hire places you would need to hire for the weekend and you're probably looking about £100+ for a small van.

We bought my old Jeep for the quads, little ones fit inside then the trailer for one of the adults ones. To be honest a lot used just a mondeo or astra or something with a trailer on so couldn't see the Lexarse being an issue. Most tracks have a service road in/out for cars/vans/trailers.

You can get detachable tow bars but they still look gash and some need the bumper modified to fit.

For what you'd pay for a tow bar you could get a escort or astra van.

or get a wagon or as Jonny says a sti foz Wink

I know it's each to their own but I hate the look of the Forester. Buying an additional car is too costly and parking issues.

A detachable towbar sounds good. Anyone got any pics (if anyone has done it)
