cant believe company i work for!

went and put another sick note in this morning for rest of week as obviously next 2 weeks are holidays,
and company is closing for them and they told me this morning that i will not be getting my holiday pay as im not entitled
to it because im on sick,has anyone ever had a similar situation to this,ive been reading up on this and as far as i can gather thati am entitled to it weather im on sick or not.this is really stressing me out now as i was relying on my holiday pay to get crimbo shoppin in an make sure i have plenty gas and electric on for next 3 weeks.has anyone else been in same position before?

Your entitled t holiday pay mate, lad i worked with got ssp before factory fortnight, his holidays came wen he was still bad, he got his full holiday pay for those 2 weeks then ssp again after that. Citizens advice will tell you over phone, but you are entitled to it. Im on four day week but getting 5 days pay per week im off over xmas

think ive just sorted it with union had to put a request in for it as apparently companys are not forced to pay it and must be requested fingers crossed.

Hmmm we dont have a union coz they were useless last time. Companies our days do what t fook they want now. Good luck anyhow mate. If ya struggle for money ill buy ya car off ya :-)

I've just let a lad go who was on sick for 7 months and he still got Holliday pay.

sick or not everyone is ent to hol pay.even if redundancies are there you still get ya hol ent, ring citz addvice , they will confirm. good luck mat
