That could be part of your problem, not sure they know how to map a car correctly, I only live 2 mins away from that garage and wouldn't ever take my car there again, had a few bad dealings with them on the past, would only use the mappers recommended on this site

| You've just missed a mapping session that was done by Bob Rawle last week mate, he's spot on at mapping done mine just before Christmas, why have you changed the ecu in your car from standard, a standard 2005 sti ecu can be mapped anyway so why change it. https://nesf.forumotion.co.uk/t13384-mapping-21st-feb-bob-rawle | |

The standard ecu can be mapped to have launch control and loads of other things I think mate, don't know who told you that you would have to change it. It's all explained here on bob Rawle,s site http://www.stituning.net/?page_id=5

| Sounds like you've not been doing your homework prior to getting your car modded, Lee. They've obviously picked up on this and taken the piss. I'd get your car back down there and get them to fit the original ECU back in the car. Then get Bob Rawle or Andy Forest (my preferred choice) to map your car. The standard ECU can be mapped for anti-lagg and Launch Control etc.
Not meaning to be nasty here, but could you also try and use a bit punctuation, it's extremely difficult to read and understand your posts.

Maybe you would be more suited to Scoobynet mate. They thrive off that kind of shit over there. And by the way that would be a bit " OF " punctuation

| I think your car was at Dlm a few weeks ago I was talking to Darren about it!! The ecu you've got is better than the standard 1 so you havnt wasted ya money IMO but the standard ecu could of been mapped but as far as I know Tristan can't map it which is why he's sold u the alca tek ecu!!
What is the car doin? Is it running lumpy or not boosting or over fueling??

| Hey, please yourselves, just trying to help the lad make his posts a little clearer so people don't get sick and ignore them. I'll not bother helping anyone out in future. | |

So what did DLM say about the fuel consumption when you've had it in with them then

If I was you mate I would take it to Andy Kindon off here, he has a garage unit at Cheter-le-street, he has an AFR meter and will check it correctly loads of people use him on here and he's spot on and knows what he is doing unlock John Pye motors who I wouldn't trust to touch my car.
