finally managed to sell my scooby, gutted to see it go but at least i sold it to someone whos had them before only issue is.... i think it may need a new/rebuilt turbo anyone here know anyone that can do it? heres the new motor: Golf GT TDi 1.9 115pd i'm over the moon with it!

haha, nope didnt know... it might need the turbo cleaned i think the vanes on the turbo are blocked didnt know untill i had been out for a drive and the car over boosted a little and put it into limp mode if it needs cleaned then its not a big job

Hope you get it sorted without it costing you alot
Craigzscooby is having problems with his astra 1.9cdti doing the same .. he's just cleaned a load of crud from his EGR valve and said its running better now, but whether that's anything to do with it I don't know ?

i'm going to be taking it down to my uncles garage (i dont know much about diesels lol) just need to buy an innotec turbo vane cleaner kit should take a few hours to fix... doesnt bother me as its an old car and i was expecting a few little issues hopefully its something silly like a dirty egr valve or something

Turbo vane cleaner is not really any use. Is the turbo noisey ? When does it boost from ?

it boosts from about 1750rpm but it went into limp on full boost changing from 4th to 5th, so i'm assuming it over boosted not too sure if the turbo is noisy as this is my first turbo car, all i can hear is a slight whistle when the turbo starts

Stick .. its craigzscooby who is having a few problems .. luckily touch wood (and yes that was my head) mine is running great at the moment and is off for her service and to get her decat twin exhaust fitted on Friday
