RCM Gobstopper 2

Was discussing this tonight at the meet and some people had not seen it so thought I'd put a couple of pictures up, the rear wing and front valance are just totally mad, it's supposed to be making its debut at the croft round of the time attack series.

In theory probably capable of about 350 mph but due to the drag coefficient and the size of that mahoosive wing at the back, more like about 57 mph

The sides of that wing are defo MDF!

Looks like he hasn't stopped at the back!! Had a few spare bits of wood left and stuck them on the front!!

I think he thought he would stick some old lawnmower blades in there to harvest his crop

Looks more like a pikes peak car they have mental aero

I'm sure it goes like excrement off a soil extraction device though

Me too if its anywhere near as good as the gobstopper1 its going to be epic

No, it's not taking the piss, seen loads of pics/vids of it kicking around, apparently that is how it looks. Alreet for time attack I guess. Wonder which nob is going to be the first with a road car to try and look like that?

Yes, I suppose it's built for function over looks, that rear wing and front valance certainly look like they are capable of quite a bit of downforce, not sure they are going to help with straight line speed though.

Aero has gone mental in Time Attack this year, starting to look more like Group B / Pikes Peak Sure there's more than one car running touch-button adjustable rear spoilers to make up straight line speed where needed. And a lot of wind tunnel testing has been done by various teams.

Rumour has it that the Gobstopper was running the Gobstopper 2 engine in Monday's TA. DBW throttle problems stopped it finishing though......
