We did a show once down in South Shields and raised money for Stray Aid and a childs disability group.
Would be great if we could organise something for Cancer Research as that is something which has at some point or another touched/affected all our lives.
Any suggestions?

The show at Shields was held in Bents Park .. I know it was quite a headache to sort out though and required insuance etc to be in place.
It's so much red tape and public liability that seems to squash alot of good ideas.

As it happens Nic a friend of mine is doing the Iron Man Triathlon for a 5 year old boy who has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The charity he is doing it for is called CLIC Sargent which is a charity for children & young people with cancer.
I would love to be involved in something to support a cancer charity as I am sure we all would.

Would be great if we could organise some charity events just to hand over a cheque on behalf of NESF. Cancer research and alzhimers society are two charity's I would happily like to raise funds for. I'm not much of a organiser but it would be good if people could help out.

Yeah but would be able to raise more if the public were involved.

I've applied for a cancer research fundraising pack and its on it way within the next couple of weeks. So if people could share any ideas for an event it would be much appreciated. It asked what my idea was so I put NESF (North East Subaru Forum) car run/gathering. Hope that's ok
