| Straightline speed most sportsbikes will own scoobies, chuck in a few corners and you may have a race but realistically you cant compare bikes and cars. on a track a fast car will beat a fast bike due to corner speed but on roads the bike will just out maneouver a car through traffic if the car doesnt kill the bike rider.
Some bikers would race cars but most wouldnt bother, its just too dangerous.
most 600 sportsbikes will do 0-60 in around 3 seconds and hit a hundred in 7 secs so you would need a canny scoob to keep up in a straightline.

| ive had a few sportsbikes over the years ( fireblade,r6, gsxr750 ect) and never had any problem getting away from anything but not many people had a go. got a 1200 bandit now which is a bit of a bus in comparson but up to 120 it feels easy as quick as all the sportsbikes ive had. had a race with a new porsche 911 turbo thingy a few weeks back on the way back from alston. round the corners i couldnt even get near him ended up being a bit stupid trying to catch him considering there was still snow on the side of the road! he eventually got stuck behind a car so caught him up then thought i could just breeze by on the next straight. again couldnt get past him was shocked how quick it was ! i then gave up and tryed to get some feeling back in my hands off the cold haha.

| My mate has a r6 and can't keep up with my 418bhp type r. On the staights it's neck and neck but sooner or later there's a corner and after them I'm slowing down waiting for him to catch up. | |

| I've had a good play with a sports bike from Alston Back to Hexham when I had my TVR, I got away on the corners, he caught me on the straights, luckily there's more corners than straights very lucky to have had a clear road ahead too so was flat out most of the way. Left his mates for dead and he pulled me over to compliment me on the driving. However that was in a car that weighed a smidge over 1000kg and had a 4.0 straight six racing engine under the bonnet, 340bhp/360ftlb torque ish | |

| Never owned a powerful bike, but Drews monster and a few others are one off's, a bike will do any car, power to weight ratio and all that, lets b thankful for roundabouts, in the real world, THE MADMAN WILL ALWAYS WIN. | |

| Jurgens (JM Imports) old RX7 was a superbike racer, was a canny tool that.
My mates modded 300zx was also a good bike chaser, gets a tadge naughty/lairy/dangerous in excess of 150mph on the private sections on the A19

| Raced a old fzr 600 back from whitby a few year ago and passed him doing 145, he was laid on the tank trying to get the most out of it, and i was in a remapped wagon. He was well surprised. Also on the other hand had a lotus elise try to race me on guis by pass on my r1 so passed him on the back wheel at well over a ton. He soon backed off lol. | |
