N.B.O. Food - suggestions Empty
PostSubject: N.B.O. Food - suggestions    N.B.O. Food - suggestions EmptyWed 29 May - 20:13

Ok, after the Revolution meet last weekend I've been having a think about the food for the N.B.O.

Dave (SG03 RRZ) has very kindly offered his friend to bring a large BBQ down to the N.B.O. for our club to use.

Now the next thing to look at is the provision of the food - would you prefer to pledge to bring food and we compile a list of what we need and who will bring what or the other option would be for me to buy everything we need and then charge nominal fees for each item?

For instance £1 a burger/sausage/hotdog and 50p for a can of pop - and any money left over after the expenses of the food is taken out be donated to charity - but I would need a rough idea as to how many people would be looking to be fed etc. I personally think it taints the day if you get home and realise you've spent £20-£30 just on getting something to eat for the family - so if we can avoid that, that all makes for a more enjoyable day.

Or if anyone else has any ideas ... please feel free to put them forward and we'll go from there Smile

I personally would go for the above. Pay for the food and also be putting something in for the charity at the same time. That way when I'm eating shed loads I can say it's all in a good cause!

Just need to make sure that if you did buy the food that you're not actually left out of pocket as that wouldn't be fair.

Just to help with numbers, there's 2 who'd be dining at the barbie from my car.
Regards
Rick

I agree with above too. It means were not paying £5 burger and the charity will get a bigger donation. But work it out so the charity get a good slice too...i wouldnt mind paying £1.50 burger as long as its a good juicy one!

Two more here to feed!
