Getting ready for NBO little by little

Well as I dont have great lumps of time on my hands I'm having to do jobs here and there, whilst also using the car everyday.

So after one Phil555 previously accused me of doing half a job ("if you going to do the fooka, do the fooka properly), just for him I lobbed the wheels off last night, washed the arches out, polished up my calipers and then washed and waxed the alloys........on the fookin inside Phil :lol:

Good job ours wont even be getting that treatment...not enough time

By the time I got the last one off I was beginning to wish I'd never bloody started, but its done now and hopefully wont need doing for a while yet. They werent actually that dirty on the inside once I had a look but now they gleaming and the calipers have come up a treat.

Amen to that Lian, my previous Prodrive alloys were a dream but these ones are a pain and yours are even worse

What's that rim wax like as the inside off my alloys are covered in brake dust

The RIMwax does exactly what is says on the tin, it makes things shiney and give them a little bit of protection. You'd need to get all the crud off first and get things nice and glossy smooth before you'll see any benefit from using it. It wont shift anything of its own accord, thats elbow grease you'll be needing there.

Get the right tool for the job, a good directional wheel brush does the trick, even gets right to the back of the wheel & behind the spokes, wheels are gleaming every week, 5 mins per wheel. No need to remove the wheels.

Agreed mate, thats been on my shopping list for a while, but now Ive had the wheels off I'll probably continue to do that once in a while and it will let me clean the arches properly too.
However Ive also seen some angled brushes on Polished bliss website so may make a purchase as they likely to be a quicker solution if I'm just doing a quick clean,

yip i agree take them all off & give a bloody good clean as well as the arches, then its easy to keep on top of with the angled brush, even the arches.

Get some black touch up pen/nail varnish on them manky weight,

Love the wheel thoughm I love doing stuff like this, just don't get that much time these days

You read my mind stick. I'll be getting paint stick out by the end of the week.

Cool stuff, be a shame to have gleaming wheels then let them down with them
