I might have blotted my copybook when 2 of the judges that came round said, "He's got a skull in his engine bay", so I said "Aye, it's from a real human being as well, I shrunk it myself...he was an NBO judge from last year"..........but they obviously had a good sense of humour and had a good laugh!

I had a peek around the finalists, even under the bonnets, and i'm not knocking them, but i thought we had numerous cars that were much better than some of those other finalists, i dunno what the judging criteria was, but i just came away thinking that NESF is the subaru equivalent of UK Eurovision!!! We just can't get a vote!!!

But well done KGT, just think there shouldve been more of ours in there with you.

Cheers folks, was quietly proud with my achievement. But I now know that the car could have been so much better and next year it will be, coz I'll be working on it from next weekend, haha, bring your sunglasses  

Got to say that I thought we had some amazing examples on our stand and was surprised we didnt get someone else placed, but the newage category (bug/blob/hawk) was almost impossible to get noticed in with 30+ cars entering and the Classics was pretty tough too.
