Bet with that Tiptronic gearbox you can change gear faster than a manual.

The Tiptronic side to the gear lever is also electrically switched so you could add buttons to aid shift changes from the steering wheel.
That's what I did with my VR4 - and it was always quicker than the manual.

Auto mode for city driving & motorway cruising - Tiptronic for Banzai moments.
When you kickdown it puts you right into boost range as well as dropping a gear or two or three.

And even new cars - i.e. The New RS5 has a Tiptronic Box - NO manual option.

Well I suppose if it can have some sort of paddle shift....
