| Just got back from a lovely week up in Mull and thought i'd share some pics for those (if any!) who also like the wildlife side of things..... These first 4 shots are all of white tailed sea eagles, complete with an impressive 8ft wing span! Still hard to photo though with the boat bobbing up 'n down i'll tell ya! Red deer Common buzzard Male hen harrier, saw loads in Mull but these are extremely rare in England, and due to persecution there are no breeding pairs this year in England which is absolutely disgusting. If they weren't being shot on the grouse moors then there should be habitat for about 150-200 pairs of these birds? Otter Golden eagle Basking shark Common seals Juvenile arctic tern Herring gull (I think!) Regards Rick | |

| To be honest, most of those were taken with the 100-400mm zoom lens, a great little walk around lens. It was really only the otter, hen harrier & golden eagle that were a little distance away & needed some zooming. Most of the subjects were literally only metres away. Although when needed the 500mm + 1.4x tele extender (making 700mm) does come in handy & that's without taking into consideration the 1.3x crop factor of the cmos chip!
Ta for the comments peeps, would seriously love to live out there if the opportunity/funds/work etc (ie too many factors!) ever came about. And they still leave the car keys to their cars in the ignition & houses unlocked??? Could never get used to that though.

| Yeah, I was. Used to fish of the mull of Galloway many years ago. Nice run over there & some really good fishing to be had as well. There's some canny wildlife there but not quite the same species as you get on Mull but still a lovely part of the world. | |

| Indeed fishing isn't as good as it was few years ago but still a lot better than round here, same as the scenery over there, no chemical city's to look at day in and day out | |
