12 years ago today where were you

12. Years ago the twin towers we hit by hyjacked planes but where were you to start it of I was on work experience at RAF leeming at 15 I didn't expect to be helping load live air to air and live cannon rounds on f3 tornados and watching them scream down the runway on a nation wide alert scramble

I was driving over the wearmouth bridge in Sunderland.  I was at work doing my old reps job.  I remember it coming on the radio like yesterday

just back from 6 month tour of Oman, was one of first back from unit, rest of unit went straight to Afghan for further 6 month. dodged a bullet there, was flew back 3 days early to run the gym.....

i can remember everthing that went on that day.watching news on the tiny little portable in my bosses office, thinking F**K!!!!!! the poor lads n lasses that were due back from 6 month tour in oman then getting shipped straight away for further 6 months. so glad im away from all that now. my heart goes to all soldiers old and new.

I was living at home and my mam and dad were in America !! At Orlando Florida !

i was on my break at work watching it all unfold on tv ... WOW

Nunu the unit I am in was on exercise in Oman to they got brought of the area and had to FFE the challinger2s then rebomb em with live ammo

was at school and got called into an important assembly

I was in my final week of Royal Navy basic training not expecting that day to be walking round HMS Raleigh on my first guard duty with a SA80 on my shoulder the base was on high aleart.

Very memorable day but for the wrong reasons

I was in a caravan on Whitby cliffs with my wife and sons , not as important as you service lads who I have the gratest respect for ,but I had to go out and stand on top of the cliffs to take it all in very sad day .

Id just came in from work and saw the 2nd plane flying into one of the towers.....................thought it was a film!!!!!! Couldnt believe what i was seeing!

i was at work on site in darlington and they shut the site early and sent everyone home to watch it on tv for some reason :S

I was sat in a JCB with the gaffas son smoking funny stuff when I first heard about it on the radio.
He suggested we went to the pub to see exactly what was going on because they had a TV. I didn't argue and we spent the rest of the day in there in disbelief at what had happened..

I was at school in a lesson and we watched in on the telly, scary stuff really.

Rip every 1 on that sad day and max respect to every service man\woman hats off

I didnt hear anything of it til i came home from school. Couldnt believe my eyes. Hats off and nothing but admiration to the fireman who was on duty that horrific day. Thoughts go out to the families who lost loved ones that day. RIP to all who lost their lives and doubt they will be forgotten.
