Changing standard intake pipe to samco?

Alright lads. Got a samco intake pipe to replace my standard plastic one, I've been told I need to cut bits off the standard pipe to remove it....is this correct? Also it sounds like to fit the samco pipe you need the patience of a saint and the hands of a borrower on steroids to make it fit!! Surely it not that bad is it??

Worse than that lol, as long as you are staying with the standard turbo then it will be fine when fitted, if you plan on fitting anything larger in the future then don't as they cause surge issues and collapse under load.

Would recommend removing the manifold and taking you standard pipe off properly in case you need it in the future, it takes a bit longer but is a lot less hassle.

Or pay someone else to do it lol

Just pay Andy K to do it mate. Honest its a pain in the arse. I took my inlet mani off and the pipe was situated under the fuel lines. Took everything off and got pipe off. Only to find the pipe i was replacing it with was wrong one.
If your planning on doing it, label everything or take pics of each step.
