Engine Storage Empty
PostSubject: Engine Storage   Engine Storage EmptyMon 23 Dec - 11:17

After getting Forester checked over at a garage and them saying its dead, I  have decided to strip it down and keep the parts for the next one I buy. Just wondering what is the best way to store the engine and do I need to oil the bores etc. It will be mounted on an engine stand so it will be off the floor. Thanks.

Engine Storage Empty
PostSubject: Re: Engine Storage   Engine Storage EmptyMon 23 Dec - 15:01

If it's a complete engine I would leave built up and just cover it over, if your stripping it oil the bores up and again cover it up, cling film is a winner:)
