I heard about this yestaday shocking news and he was wearing a helmet so go's to show F1 motor racing is safer than skiing

He is in a critical condition in a hospital in genoble. He has bruising and bleed on the brain which is causing pressure on the brain. Put him in an induced coma and let time take its toll.
Hope he pulls through. Over 200mph in a car for years and it takes a 40mph skiing accident to do worse damage.

Quite a few articles on this today. Whilst it appears good news that he's not in a coma any more, you've got to remember that coma was induced, so what it atually means is that he's not completely unrespondant, which is a very far cry from being up and about, which is almost what the original article was selling the hope of. Apparently the likelyhood of anything like that is very remote indeed, which I think we'd all agree is a great shame. That moment on Top Gear when they removed the Stig helmet to reveal him was absolutely class

Can you imagine waking up after that long, so disorientated, I'm bad enough after I've fell asleep on the couch
