2.5 forged engine on facebook

Its came to my attention yesterday that there's a chap on Facebook over Newcastle breaking a v5 sti in grey, the car was on eBay a while ago and I was gonna buy it as it was apparently build to a high spec 2.5 fully forged engine, I managed to track down and speak to the original owner of the car and who put the 2.5 in it, the bottom end is from a wrx and is completely standard and he advised me not to buy the car due to the fact it was drinking oil due to being ran at 400bhp on standard internals, the gearbox was also shagged, the cars a S reg in grey had had morette headlights fitted with a black scoop and spoiler, the lad who has the car now and is breaking it is claiming that Scoobyclinic built the engine, I have proof off the owner that its not, just wouldn't like anyone to shell out a lot of cash for something that knackered, I'm not naming names but anyone who has seen it on eBay or Facebook will no which car it is

Yeah I have seen that, maybe worth dropping the lad at subaru blitz north east a message, he may have been given false receipts with the car as "proof" to get the price up.

Av got all the messages saved of the original owner Jonny so the proofs there

Advised people to steer clear as it aint as stated

Aye a think he has cause I told him I was gonna buy it and when I found out what was wrong with it he said he was putting it on here, now its up here don't want anyone getting stung with the engine

Does the guy that is selling the engine actually know it isn't forged, has anyone told him it's history?

Hi lads spoke to andy scooby bitz he sold the engine but told the bloke he had no history on it so sold as seen guy was happy to buy it as he wanted to strip and rebuild any way
