£4000 is abit steep aint it? Get STI for extra £500-600.

Oh I know its steep mate, just looking for any background on it. I'm just worried this lad will go drive it, get the bug (scuse the pun) and do something silly.
I might take a look down with him and give him the benefit of my extensive knowledge.

Thanks Tizer thats very helpful.

The lad is going to see it tomorrow and I reckon I'll be going with him to make sure he doesnt get too carried away.

Any further info would be gratefully received.

Clean on the outside anyway, inside could do with a visit from the razzledazzlesters.

Well just been to see the car with the interested party. Few more shots for your perusal and advice.

Could only drive it round the estate where the car is being kept at the moment so it will need a longer run out to really get a feel for it. My colleague drove it for the first few (terrifying) minutes, then I got in to see how it felt compared to my old car. Apart from the horrible pishes from the dung valve, it was just like going back in time.

As far as I can see its untouched in the engine bay apart from said dung valve. All the pipework looks standard apart from the backbox and all cats in place. New belts and plugs (apparently).

Overall seems pretty solid, no knocks or rattles, no hesitation and idles very smoothly. No evidence of any tampering with wires under or around the dash and no cut off ends in the engine bay that might have been connected to god knows what.

Not a lover of the Morette (copy ?) headlights, but each to their own. The only other thing of note is that interior - it is out of a Classic isnt it, coz it doesnt fit in the back properly and I'm sure my seats didnt look like that, with a little adjuster handle etc ??

Appreciate I'm no Kindon/Drew/Jonny etc but there was nothing that screamed at me to beware. Obviously he's got no idea how its been driven / treated, but that could go for any 2nd hand car not just a Scoob. Its got a few dings here and there, with a series of small imprints on the front of the bonnet, but he's not that bothered about how it looks.

All in all for a 11/12 yr old car that hasnt been owned by an out and out enthusiast, its probably in reasonable condition.

Have a look at the photos, let me know if youve got any opinions and give me an idea what he shoudl be paying. Ive told him that £4k is a bit rich, but its up to him in the end.

Have no idea why they would change the interior  Shocked
Im sure he would get a nicer bug than that for the money we got 4k for ours on a 52 plate a year and a half ago.and ours was mint and fully loaded.but each to their own  Very Happy

Actually yours was my benchmark bug along with a few others on here. This one is a bit more battle scared but could scrub up well wiht a bit of effort, but its not a £4k car off the forecourt.
