| I had the Vortex Afterburner on the Blob for a while. It was louder than my TSL Group N which I thought had a lovely smooth sound, but I wanted to try something different so bought the Afterburner off Carlos.
It was a beautifully made unit and looked great with its slash cut. In the end I decided it was too loud for me at 6:00am in a quiet cul de sac, but out on the open road it was gorgeous. I dont thinks it was as loud as a NUR Spec but it wouldnt be far off. I suspect all of them would get on your tits on long journeys, but I didnt make many so not really a problem. | |

| No problem Nick. I see Marietto has given you a link for the Raptor, I had the Vortex which is pictured on the same page. The Raptor quotes a 5" tail and the Vortex a 4.5" tail, other than that I'm not sure what the difference is other than apparently the Raptor is the noisier of the two. I read that the Afterburner range are made by the same guys that make H&S, but that might have just been Scoobynet chat rather than fact. | |
