Lordys Greenwagon project Empty
PostSubject: Lordys Greenwagon project    Lordys Greenwagon project EmptyMon 28 Apr - 22:39

I have had my Greenwagon for 14 years now since new and decided a couple of years ago to clean the engine bay
It took many hours of hard graft with autoglymn engine cleaner and gunk etc

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Replaced the battery bracket as it was getting a bit rusty

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Autosol is my best friend and doesn't nag all the time

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Polished the bodywork as well
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I'm not mechanically minded so was pleased to fit a slam panel

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Then I realised the brackets were rusty

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
With confidence growing I took off the fuse box

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The misses helped me take off the alternator cover

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Off with the Snorkle

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Brackets off

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Wonder what I should do with them ???

No wages just more money spent to save the national economy in Thialand

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Allready had the bolts but wanted gold washers so had TI take the oil cap and Intercooler cover to make up the postage

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Tim told me the first ions ever made

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

So pleased I wanted Rallytech logo instead of Subaru

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

But them I saw something else I didn't like

Mmm

As busy saying good bye to the wrxd and hello to the Nismo

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

But stil like the Greenwagon best
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Treated myself to another car later in the year as the Nismo is a bit wild for turning up at council and board meetings so
Nismo for fun
civic EXGt for executive meetings

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The Greenwagon is now a weekend and polishing and now project car

Treated myself to a few hours quality time woth some autosol

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

But still annoyed with other bits under the hood
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Never mind birthday and Xmas soon

I told the misses we were going to see a new hot tub for the garden
We drove for many many miles when we got to the Er .....showroom

She was curious about it

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

She wondered why the horny thing was with us

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

A man came round the corner said he was the man called Locky
The master of design and colour

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

He explained to the misses that Rob had told him the parts were the wrong colour for the car and it would fail its mot
The misses believed in the man known as Locky and was desperate to go shopping at the metro cantre so we left the parts

Took me a year and a half as i wanted to combine the bulk of the work , pullies ,pipes horns and manifold in with. A cam belt change and service in one go kept labour charges down also to trial the forst batch. From Locky before the bulk of it was done
Finish is amazing also I got some great discounts in the rally tech. Group buy ,revolution ,scoobyworx and cdf special discount days sales saving a bit of money too
