What is the correct tyre size for 17" wheels on a classic is it 215/45/17
The sti wheels are 225/45/17 too big if ye ask me

225 will catch your arches mate, mine did. 215 is ideal.

215-40-17 is the correct size
45 is the wrong profile for 17's on a classic 225-45-17 is for newage cars

I run 225/45R17 and they are fine, actually fit well.
I have some 225/45R17s and some 215/40R17 tyres for sale.

Falkens, 2 are scrubbed off but not at cords, 2 are mint, tread is around 5mm, £80
