I bought the lower Zunsport Grille for my Bugeye about a month ago, I was thinking about getting the upper one but at £72 I wasn't so sure. Anyway, I got a letter through the post this morning saying that If I type in the code ZU041510 when purchasing anything from their website I get a discount of 15%, which is ok isn't it? Better than a stab in the eyes anyway. Just thought the code might be useful for anyone else who wants a grille for their car. They also gave me a loyalty card so I can get discounts in the future for me and my mates.

I got the first one for £72 but a discount on the next one would be £61 so I think I might get one. I did think about making my own tho lol you can buy the mesh separately but I can imagine it's quite hard to cut it to shape.

Code ZU042510 also gets you 25% off which is even better than the 15% I said before. I'm going to get the top grill now.

I'd like to make my own grill but there's no way I could use a cutter and make it cut around the shape of the badge so I'm going for a proper one. I think if you've bought from zunsport before though and have a membership card then you can't use the 25% code but there's no stopping someone else getting a grill for you and paying them for it

I had the the Zunsport full size lower grille on the Hawkeye and they are top quality and pretty easy to fit. But I also got a Grillcraft MX Series Hood Scoop grille from CARiD in USA to go over my bonnet scoop as I didn't want any stones or debris going in the scoop and damaging the Perrin FMIC pipes. The Grillcraft grilles are more expensive than the Zunsport ones but they are really good quality, much thicker mesh than the Zunsport. They do matching grilles for all models of Impreza and if you have any contacts in the USA they can procure them on your behalf and transport to the UK
The 3 Hawkeye centre grilles are mean looking when debadged
.
If anyone fancies having a go at making their own mesh grille I have a few sheets of black powdercoated honeycombe grille left over from when I had the Type R grilles replaced. It's much thinner material and easily bent and cut...and very bloody sharp too! This is the stuff here:
