| how much would it cost to find a cheap type R or a P1? looking for a nice long term project and wouldnt mind doing one of those it must be a running car as first i want to return it to standard and then after a year or 2 get it fully upgraded. if you come across a nice one for not much money let me know as i've been looking around here in belgium and if i can find a 3 door scooby they ask more for it then a 2008 onwards STI | |

| Always adored the P1, lovely looking motor. I read the engines are prone to failure due to a bad map (this, coming from a 2.5 owner ) so many are driving around forged. | |

| Yea that's because pro drive added to the type r There was only 500 p1 sold originally but pro drive increased it to a 1000 due to demand.. Really like the p1 they hold their money... You can pay up to 9 k plus for a minter but I've seen them go for 5k.. | |
