Why don't you just buy a hawk and forge it? Save the money messing about making a bug something it not.

Fair comment.. Try a blob STi out, cheaper tax and they can handle decent power.. You know it's the way forward

I'm with Nick. Nice widetrack blob project. As Stick says the dogs in the street are driving white classics these days
Have you got a budget in mind on what you want to spend or are you looking for something cheap as a project/fix up?

There's a lad on the UK subaru cars and parts group selling a nice JDM bug to hawk conversion that would save you a bit of time doing the conversation yourself as we all know how long it took you to do the last one.. It took you so long you mistakenly thought you could actually live without a subaru in your life. He is asking strong money for it but if you make good use of your uber pikey skills you might get it for a good price you would need to get it wrapped or painted white cos it's blue..

Road tax cost is exactly the same as a Bug if you get an early registered Hawk
