Is your car Standard mate? If it is not and you have modified it or intend to modify it then the Specialist Insurers are your best bet - Comparison sites are useless when it comes to modified cars as 99% of their bread and butter business is for manufacturer standard cars and they and their call centre/sales staff just don't understand modifications. Everyone will have their own particular specialist insurer they like as the quote will be specific to the individual, their circumstances, location, age, what they do for a living, NCB and their car - so best try them all for quotes - i.e.

Greenlight Insurance
Sky Insurance
A-Plan Insurance
Keith Michaels

To name just a few of the most common ones

Moley at Keith Michaels undercut Sky by a significant amount this year, so I'll be going back.

Gary Moulson is a good lad at Keith Michaels - but it's easier getting an audience with the Pope than speaking to him as half the UK's Subaru community are with him!  lol!

I went with greenlight after a ring around most of the above. Came in cheapest for me and had no problem with any of my mods.

Cheers Ross.

Privilege for me. no one else could come close to the premium i had on the Hawkeye. A plan are excellent for imports and a range of mods. think after 4 years trying, and a number of promises of return calls, i gave up trying to speak to Gary

I just can't fathom out how insurance works. I was with priviledge on my M3 but they didn't want to know about even giving me a quote when I changed to the scooby.could understand if I was a youngster but I'm 30 and have a clean license, decent no claims etc.

Sure they just pull the prices out of a hat at times!

A plan always get my vote & spot on & will always try & beat other quotes

was with sky for a year then went back to A plan as when renewal was due went u silly amount

Moley @ Keith Michael wouldn't even quote me once I told him doing 12k+ a year only seem interested in doing low mileage each year
