Subject: Drowning noise from high to low speed deceleration! Thu 7 Aug - 10:18
It sounds gearbox related?? Happened for the first time the other day, from 140!! Happened again yesterday from 90 on the twisties!! It's got 77k on the clock... Full Subaru history!! Any ideas??

If you mean when you let off you get a droning noise I had that and it turned out to be my diff, had no oil in

I have the infamous Subaru drone on mine, I don't know if it's the wheel bearing or the diff. How do you get into the diff to check, do you need a big chuck to open the lock or something?

Drain plug on the back of it and measuring jug

if i remember right a half inch rachet fits

if i remember right a half inch rachet fits
Think it was a half inch drive to crack it off, or a 19mm socket.cant remeber
