Cars mapped for 97 Ron fuel due to the fact it came from the land of the potato..
So is it doing any harm running 99 Ron fuel ? Seems to be overfueling and det indicator comes on sometimes (very rarely)
I think I might get it mapped for 99 but it's 450bhp and I'm getting g 300+ miles to a tank so I'm in two minds about it cos I'm a cheapskate

Surely running higher octane fuel than it's mapped for can't do any harm, as det is only caused by running lower octane fuel.

fook knows Steve I was told it was detting sometimes because the plug gap is too big for running 1.9bar but that might not be correct.

Let's have a race with it not mapped in then have a race when it is mapped in and we can check the differences

There is no challenge Nick until you get your engine forged so you can unleash the full potential of your turbo.. By the way my little RB is known to make people blow their head gaskets trying to race against it.. Just ask steviedoo

I've pretty much worked out you need a 100bhp more in a newage to beat a good classic in a straight line race! When I was racing the classic at York running 300bhp I was neck and neck with a 400bhp bugeye! So if natski is running 450 ya gunna need 500+ easy nick to beat him! But if ya gunna put corners into the equation It cud b a different story

The plan is Harvey up pipe rotated inlet flipped intercooler and a billet conversion for the md321t and an simtek to alkatek software upgrade.
Then get it remapped.. First I need a clutch (AGAiN)
All I want to know is the answer to my question FFS !!

This
All my planned mods are to reduce lag a bit. I will also gain an added bonus of around 20 bhp possibly

Think somebody needs to do some classic to newage weight difference revision.. Then they will be able to work out the fact that with me in the classic and you in the newage the RB will still weigh less and still have an extra 70 horses. Then the house buying plans will go out the window untill you have a fully forged 2.35 stroked scooby with a GT35r turbo and then you will beat me lmfao...
