| Does anyone know of a good way to open the drain plugs on the rear diff? I've been trying all day with various square ended tools- I still can't get the buggers to open up though, even used WD40 to try and loosen then up. Anybody got another way of opening them? Maybe I'm using the wrong tools or something. | |

| You should be able to get it off with a large socket driver and a bit of muscle
"Top Tip" get the top fill one off first as if you get the drain plug off and not able to shift the fill you end up with a dry diff | |

| I can't get any off lol had a go on Saturday an then had a go today but they don't seem to budge. I was whacking the socket with a hammer too but to no avail. Is 14mm the right sized tool do you reckon? I've tried a half inch and a 13mm so far. | |

| I know how to change the oil I think, just can't get these plugs off. Might have to take a trip to the garage and see what they can do. | |

| You may need a extension bar on to give a little more strength | |

| Isn't the last tool in my picture a 1/2 inch breaker bar? I've tried with that already if it is a breaker bar. Maybe I just need to go to the gym or something? | |

| They can be a massive pain in the arse, a breaker bar usually works for me, sometimes have to hit the end of breaker bar with mallet or hammer, the shock when hitting it is usually enough to crack it
If you get stuck I can get it off for ya

| Got the diff oil sorted today. My mate had to jack it up, take one of the back wheels off, use the biggest bar he could find (about 3 foot long lol) and jump up and down on it to get it to budge. Then he had to do it again for the second plug lol | |

| Drain it from the bottom one and top it up by the top one | |

| 1/2" breaker bar should do the job to crack it loose, then a ratchet to remove. Thats all ive ever had to use in the past. | |
