As above, does anyone know what the rules are? I have a un insured and un taxed car I need to move, would I be able to tow it or is it illegal? Had a mate who was goin to drive it on his traders insurance but has let me down,

How are you towing it? If all wheels are off the floor it aint a problem. I know all cars need to be insured now regardless. Even if your car is in a garage on Sorn it has to be insured.
Just chance it and if you get stopped pleed ignorance lol
how far you towing it?

Just add it to your insurance policy for 1 day if you are worried, shouldn't cost much, I done it a few month ago for 2 days was only about £30

Hate to say it mate but if its on the road it needs to be legal, yes you can take a car with no tax to an MOT station but it needs to be booked in. Your best option is to use a trailer.

All you need is an arse of a copper or someone to bump into you then your in the crap.

You cant please that you didn't know any better as ignorance is not a defence in the eyes of the law :-(
