Subject: Spotted a leak today Sat 18 Oct - 0:29
I was just topping up my oil and coolant today when I noticed a dirty patch just below where the ht leads go into the engine, I pulled out the leadand it was all oily inside where the spark plugs go. What's that all about then, never noticed that on any of my cars before? Is it something minor or does it mean my engine is on it's way out or something? I only changed the plugs a couple of months ago and I didn't notice any oil coming out them.

Could be your rocker cover gasket. Pretty easy to change and not to expensive for a new one.

Is the metal bit the rocker cover then? I don't know, I've never taken any of the engine apart before .
