Been underneath mine because I have a small oil leak, could be one of the blanks on the bottom of the oil pump as that had a bit of oil around it so wiped it down n ill have another look later to see if its wet again, that's about it

Been to work and scared myself when I hit a small lake on the A174 at a reasonable speed. Came home, changed my under garments and thanked the big man.

Did some work on the Type R's paintwork for stripping all the coatings off at the weekend as I am going to apply a couple of layers of Migliore Strata Ceramic coating. Supposed to be awesome stuff and lasts for about a year with one coat.
There was some black carbon type marking from the exhaust on the rear bumper, a little on the front bumper and on the scoop which wouldn't come off with normal cleaners, so I hand polished them with some Mer Ultimate Polish which has some good cleaners in it and it removed all of the marks. However I looked at the car and it had 2 shiny bumpers and the scoop so I thought bugger it and did the whole car! Even though I am stripping it all of again anyway!!! FFS that is Irish logic!
The thing is though it took me 3 sessions to finish it because of my new Terminator titanium knee. Oh and Mer Ultimate Polish - "easy on, easy off" my arse! Last but not least white cars are a pain in the arse to get a really good finish on - a hell of a lot of work for very little reward. Any other colour of car comes up mint.
I am not that impressed with the result from all that work myself, but hopefully it will look a lot better when I get the ceramic stuff on.
