I've only ever heard good things about the parts business. Not heard too much about servicing etc. I've dealt with him over the phone a few times and have appreciated his input (and prices!). I'll contact ASP once the New Year fully kicks in and get the wagon in for its bits and bobs. I'll also ask about who does his mapping too.

I'm sure he uses Andrew Carr for mapping, or he did.

Is a road map completely different to a roller map? Due to air temps an stuff

Map on the rollers really needs to be followed straight after by a quick session on the road to make any small tweeks required as 99.9% of rolling roads can't exactly replicate the conditions/loadings of driving on the road.

So you get a shot at both if you go the rollers route?

Ideally yes unless you happen to drive on a dyno more than the road it should include at least a small run on the road afterwards to test the map in the real world if you like. Its also a good indication of how well the rolling road setup has recreated real life conditions.

Certain mappers like it to be done on the rollers as most of the time it's quicker, safer and easier to bring the car to set loads than it is on the road. The argument of which is best is a massive can of worms though. There's hundreds of topics about it on scoobynet etc if you feel like coming away more confused than you started!

Its less hassle mapping a 'quick' cr on the rollers, alway fun hooting up the A1 flat out in 4th Smile

Suppose it takes the road conditions and coppers out of the equation as well if a big power car is having to repeatedly pull twice the legal limit, never really thought of that.
