Nothing more than an absolute tarts game now. Too many fairies falling over as if they'd been shot & getting paid ridiculous amounts of money in the process.

Time to stamp out (literally) this kind of theatrics & turn football back into the game that it should be & used to be!

Or just continue watching ice hockey! Fight, fight, fight

Screw Football. Hurling - Irish Sport - hardest and fastest field sport in the world, played by real men who don't earn a single penny as it's an amateur sport - they play for free and for the love of the sport.

Get you some of this!

Pretty sure hockey is the fastest team sport in the world. Pucks are being shot at the net at over 100mph!

Yeah, field sport! But hockey is THE fastest team sport. What other sport intentionally has an enforcer on the roster just to make sure that "peace" is upheld on the ice!!!

That's actually open to debate Rick and there are debates all over the net on which is the fastest with no confirmed outright winner. As Daz says shuttlecocks are the fastest travelling objects in any sport, with hockey pucks down in 7th place. They may need an enforcer but they are all wearing pads and protective gear like Michelin men and are also paid fortunes - hurlers wear no protection apart from a helmet which was only brought into force in the last few years as we always played without and hurlers get paid NOWT. I'd much rather have a fight with all that girly padding than just wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I grew up with and played the sport of hurling, not sat watching it in front of a telly.

Watched ice hockey for 25year til that fat geordie tw@t John Hall ruined it. IMO best contact sport in the world. Shuttlecocks weigh nothing and I wouldnt like to stand infront of a 3" compressed rubber disc hit by a 6"8" giant at over 100mph hence why thw goalie is covered in pads. Hockey players have nowt on midriff.
