Brakes Empty
PostSubject: Brakes   Brakes EmptyWed 1 Sep - 1:39

As a few people may be aware I've been testing some of the new blue stuff pads that have just been released by ebc, now I haven't had anything other than oe stuff in the scoob, but I have had a lot of different types of discs and pads in my other cars (volvo, skyline) everything from oe stuff through to ds2500, drilled, grooved discs etc.

Now these new pads are classed as a more track biased pad but are marketed as having excellent cold stopping abilities, so I've fitted them with some braketech grooved discs and had them on for approx 1000 miles now. The only way I can describe them is nothing short of excellent, never had brake fade at all, stopping from cold is as good as or better than oe stuff. So I'd recommend them to anyone who's on the lookout for replacement pads that are better than stock and supposedly they are going to be significantly cheaper than most of the performance pads on the market at present.

If anyone wants to try them your more than welcome to have a go in my car and see what you think.

Peter
