| The hatch WRX is booked in with Bob again the end of the month, Andy K will fit a SC40 for me first, I am also thinking of gutting the TGV's , but what else? | |

| Aren't you pushing your gearbox at that as torque will be similar | |

| Would of been cheaper buying a STI in the first place if your thinking of 6speed. But then again qe always swap and chamge stuff and then work oit how much its come to and you think FOOKING HELLLLLLL. | |

| Current spec its running is forged pistons, VF 43, cosworth induction kit and perrin intake pipe, 3" decat downpipe with 3"nur spec cat back, 3 port boost solenoid, standard headers ported, FMIC, I believe the injectors are now the same in STI and WRX, but not sure what they are capable of? | |

I know mate but I am in to deep now. I was thinking of cutting my losses and selling up for a classic type R, but I will lose to much on the hatch.

| Sorry forgot its already got a HRC fuel pump in, I think Andy ported the up pipe slightly to match the headers. Do the up pipes make that much difference? I would of thought as long as they are not catted then they are ok? | |

| Looks like all you need now is a turbo and 6 speed. Why only an SC 40 if you've forged? SC46 is supposed to be a great turbo for the 2.5 | |

| The SC 40 is cheap! And the engine is only built for 400 mate, standard parts apart from the pistons. | |

| Think you'll need to go fully De-cat if your wanting 400 as the cats are too restrictive once you get upto that sort of power. | |

| It is fully de-catted mate, 3" downpipe and a blitz cat back but it has a resonator in the centre section and a massive back box so its pretty quiet, I hope it is not restricting it too much? I am thinking of going to a straight through centre section and single exit back box instead of the quads I have at the minute. | |

| Well Bob Rawle told me that the Nur Specs were poor for getting good power when I changed mine. | |

I think the hatch system is a lot different to the older systems, but you could right?

| This is the spec jonny had the car I have now built to. Thats running just under 400bhp and about 410lbft. Killer B sump baffle plate 2.0 sump conversion HRC 340lph Fuel pump Toyosport exhaust system. TD05 20g billet turbocharger Ported TGV deletes Hawkeye STI inlet manifold Hawkeye STI intercooler and Y pipe K&N typhoon short ram induction kit 3 port boost solenoid Air pump removed Genuine HKS SSQV blow off valve Throttle body coolant delete Header tank insulators ported headers and up pipe NGK ILFR7H spark plugs
This is on a hawkeye wrx with a similar forged job to yours. So probably pretty close to what you're after.

| One mod which I would definitely recommend is the gear linkage bush kit from as performance. It's only £60 and massively improves the feel of the gear change on the 5 speed. Makes the box feel much tighter and the changes more precise. | |
