Fog lights into headlights Empty
PostSubject: Fog lights into headlights   Fog lights into headlights EmptyWed 25 Feb - 21:01

Whereas Marshffs was into making the front of his STI look subtle at night, I'm inclined to go the other way and would quite like to increase the amount of road I can see, and the detail (country driving and poor road surface could lend me with a nasty repair bill). It tends to be at night when I drive faster, as I can tell there aren't any other people to worry about.

What options have I got for using the fog lights as additional headlights in order to improve vision? Obviously (well, at least presumably) I can't just use the fog lights that are under the STI covers, as they'll be badly positioned or simply too bright and annoy other motorists. But I've seen some Impreza's on eBay that seem to have usable lights down there.

Any help much appreciated.

If there's no one else to worry about then just use your high beam problem solved and money saved Smile

But are the fog lights that are currently there going to be any good for actually giving me any more visibility? I suppose I'll give it a go and find out. Of course, I'd rather not have to worry about flicking the fog light switch when someone else IS coming towards me (as well as having to dip my main beams) but I suppose it's going to be relatively straight forward to just wire the fog lights up to the main beam and I'm good to go.

You are better off buying a decent hid kit off eBay etc 20 to 30 quid . h4 hi lo kit takes 20 min to fit and one of the best mods for classic in my eyes as standard Subaru headlights are like candles lol .

Fantastic, that's really helpful, thank you!

Would you say this kind of thing looks good?  Although it does say that it is NOT plug and play with a Scooby...

(sorry for link, I'm not allowed to post a proper one until seven days after.  Just paste the bottom bit after the uk on the ebay homepage)
