| Anywhere else in north east selling ICE that anyone recommends ?
I spent 2 forking hours on the road today to get to Autosounds on Scotswood Road and when I eventually found it, the sodding place had shut for half day, friggin useless or what.
I then spent another 2 forking hours on the A1 trying to get home. I was bloody seething. 4 hrs of my life that I won't get back.
Apart from Halfrauds, is there anywhere else to actually listen to gear or is it all online now ?
Is there anything in Cleveland etc ?

| Cheers chaps, but where the chuff was this advice on Saturday morning. You should have guessed I was going up there and you could have told me that. Bloody typical, just can't get the staff nowadays Stick. I've got a very good idea of the gear I'm putting together, it was more bits and bobs and install advice. I'll have a look at the FB page and will drop Monty a line. Alpine HU already purchase along with a Genesis Profile amp to run front Comps, just deciding whether to go Passive or Active. Also looking at stealth subs as I don't want to lose the boot space, saying that I've got my eye on a nice JL sub and mono set up. Either way it's going to make the OEM set up sound like and old Bush tranny. I'm going for SQ above all else. | |

Turners in Sunderland closed down years ago, they were the best around here when they were going though, I used to compete in their SQ team and was uk champion in my class

| I remember you telling me about this a while back Steve.
There is an FB page set up and activity from back in November 14 ref Mark Turner who must be still out there running the business.
To be fair I can do most of the stuff myself just need a bit of guidance here and there. Will see how I get on once I've got my inventory together.

They went bust, obviously as technology moved on and most cars came standard with decent alarms and immobiliser's and also had the option of coming from the factory with sat navs and better audio equipment then all ov this basically put them out of business

The web has infinite footfall, you can effectively "walk into" a shop in Japan and the infinite supply chain network will have your goods here in the week. If you dont need the stuff right there and then, you'll nearly always go online to enjoy the savings. The face of retail has changed forever. Its only the service side of the business that can survive. The customer can buy whatever they want from wherever they want, but they probably cant put it together. I think a lot of lads now rely on the install side of things to stay in business and just let clients source the goods. Which is why a poor sap like me cant find anywhere to go and listen to stuff.

| Thanks for the explanations above! I presumed they'd have had enough business from installations to be fairly successful, they always had high-end installations going on when I was in | |
