| My arches are all starting to need some attentions before they get worse, so I'm in need of a decent bodyshop around Gateshead / Newcastle ideally - someone who'll do a good job without breaking my wallet! Any suggestions? | |

| Im coming in to Newcastle tomorrow to see the dent man and my rear arches need atention too
Any other recommendations ?
I'm after a top job done cut out as much metal as possible and weld on and replace As I only want the job does once
Just can't seem to find hardly anyone in cumbria wanting to take on the task I have contacts with a good sprayer but he didn't want to tackle the cutting out and replacement metal part
Maybe their scared to give a Price then panic when they start cutting
Last thing I want is a cheap job then have to redo it in the future

| Went to AC the other day, could not find the place (went to the address on fbook and yell) and no reply via email and left phone messages. Same scenario, need to get my arches done and perhaps more. I had an original contact email suggesting that I call by but nothing since. Maybe on holiday? A shame as he was recommended.
There are a few more local shops in Hexham, so I shall give them a try.

| I had a positive meeting with Keith flint at annfield place Came highly recomended by mark ronnie the master if dents removed
Specialises in classic cars and has lots if pictures in his fb pages rolls royce and a jag e type so people have confidence in him Busy workshop With loads of classic cars awaiting restoration so he is an old school restorer rather then a quick bolt off /on bodyshop He is used to rust and we discussed cutting up Subaru front wings and replacing them on the back We also discussed removing amd cutting out any rust where the rear strutbraces are
Busy to April and when I have two front wings I'm going to contact him for a date

| Coincidentally I went up to AC today but found the same thing, no sign of anyone at the unit on the industrial estate - no reply when ringing the mobile number. Could be on holiday I guess. I've had quotes from a couple of places in Gateshead now, one for £500 + vat to go back to bare metal and paint, one for £600+ vat to cut out and replace sections on the rear arches where the rust looks like it's coming through from behind where the bumper bolts in (so a proper job and not a quick fix). No idea on the quality of work at either place so I'd much rather go with a recommendation if anyone can suggest anyone other than AC | |

| Had a local body shop quote £750 to do rusty arch (cutting out, putting new metal in, apparently they don't do repair panels only full sections), respray rear wagon spoiler, respray scraped grille, both wing mirrors, front bumper corners and a full machine polish. Reasonable? | |
