Got an sti v7/8 intercooler fitted to my hawkeye WRX, not a straight swap as the throttle body is slightly longer on the hawk due to it having an electric throttle but a little bracket extension on the right side and just bent the left side back a little.
The standard undertray is easily modified to match the intercooler too, if you are coming to the meet I will show you how.

Sorry never made it was out watching the match. Any how I have just won the below intercooler at which I think is a fair price, it also states in the Q&A section that the owner has had it fitted to a Hawkeye so should be less work for Drew lol. Only problem is paypal is saying my payment isn't going to clear till the 15th so I am going to miss Duncan for the map change on the 16th but he said he's up early October so I am going to have to be patient. Just to clarify I have the VF30 and what comes with the below auction, there isn't any other pipes/gaskets etc that I am going to need?

Can the under-tray currently fitted be modified to fit this intercooler or am I going to have to spend more money? I am presuming right in saying the under-trays job is to keep heat away from the intercooler or is this a bad guess.

Spot on, ail give Drew a ring when I no the exact date Duncan is up and get it all sorted, feel like a kid waiting for Christmas now lol. I understand you have the same modifications to your Hawkeye Jonny, can you feel much of a difference in the drive?
