| I had new discs and pads fitted to my bugeye less than a year ago there only standard 4 pot calipers front and 2 pots rear. When under hard braking I get brake fade and feels like they lock up no and again, anyone have a idea as to why new discs and pads would do that | |

| If they are cheap pads this could be the cause! Also when was your brake fluid last changed?? | |

Could be your problem then, not so much the disc, but if they're OEM pads and you've got more power than OEM and you're driving hard, you'll get brake fade.

| Did you say the brakes lock up? Brakes could be stuck on (seized Pistons) causing them to over heat
When you say brake fade do you mean it feels like you have no brakes and struggle to stop?

| I would jack the car off the floor and make sure there is no brake binding, road test and get them hot and then recheck for binding.
Then if nothing pull the brakes to bits and check for glazed pads, seized pistons etc...

| brake fade happens when you over heat the pads, so as atwrx says if your running more than standard power and have oe brakes or even slightly uprated they is a good chance of brake fade under heavy or long braking.
My Hawkeye when it was running 530hp with the standard Brembos with uprated pads got brake fade when I would brake heavy, which I did a lot.
You need a better brake setup.
