| You first need to check whos the manhole is if that caused the problem and also if the manhole has dropped by how much, If its not more than 25mm its within the acceptable levels.
The second thing is to find out if the person responsible for the manhole has had it reported, if they have not had it reported then they cannot be held liable.
If you tell me exactly where it is I will find out whos manhole it is for you. If you email me a picture thats even better. | |

| Its on chester road mate. The main road from chester le street up to shiney row. Its on durhams patch, not sunderlands. As micky says, its right beside the garage i work at and i'd say its sunk by well over 25mm. I can send you a pic tomorrow mate but as i say, its been like that for ages and sure its been reported numerous times. |

| Checked all the records, it looks like the manhole has not been reported before, it is now on the records and should be getting checked tomorrow by the Highways Inspector. Micky I am sorry but you would not get anywhere with a claim as the council did not know anything about it. So they cant be held liable. If it is still like that after 28 days and nothing has been done run over it again and then make a claim (but I didnt tell you that) | |
