anyone no which fones allow u to connect to internet via laptop ??
at the minute am using a dongle (£15 a month)
but 02 are offering unlimited internet on me fone for a extra £5 a month, and have been told i can use my mobile (by a mate) the same way i use the dongle ??
is this correct?

unlimited internet on a phone is usually a fair use policy of 500mb to 1gb depending on deal and network. this is to stop customers using them to connect with a laptop/pc.

I have the Samsung Galaxy and it can create it's own wireless network. I have used it a few times to connect my daughters iPod and never had any extra charges for doing it

cheers steve. its got me confused this one, as some people are saying u carnt use fone, others saying u can, then others say u can use it like a dongle ????

I thought ya had to pay extra to teather a Ifone up to the laptop to use as a dongle

I'm on O2 and have a bolt on of £5 a month, this used to be unlimited but is now 500Mb.

You do but I have used the wireless network feature on the phone so its not tethered

The odd browsing but viewing pictures YouTube ect can eat up 500mb pretty quick when using it through phone connection.

Finn I can jailbreak iPhone that will allow you to use wifi tethering for free. You would also benefit from being able to download any app totally free
