| Just on watching it now. RS3 was nice but one thing bugs me when they say "Hot Hatch". In my day a hot hatch was an affordable car not a £40K car. | |

| My goodness that old Rover SD1 brought back memories, he was building that when I built mine back in 1994. Mine looked better and it did 160mph with a twin turbo'd 5ltr TVR V8 built by RPi and a Corvette ZR1 gearbox, mind you mine owed me nearly £24,000, guy that bought it wrote it off & killed himself within two weeks.

| I would say that RS3 is a competitor to the STI hatch, I think it might loose a few sales to it with badge snobbery. 33k for a Subaru or £40k for an Audi which will be very close performers on paper. If you can afford 33k for a new car the chances are you can stretch another 7k. | |
