You always here how evo's r quicker around the track even though in the real world most of us dont drive them there. But i dont think i hav ever seen on the likes of topgear/5th gear etc a test of a newage spec c type ra r agaisnt an evenly matched powered evo Question Question What does everyone think would be the beta car Question And theres always the litchfield type 25 414 bhp against an evo fq400 that sounds like an even match.....................who wud win Question Question Question Question Question Question

The spec C RA is the best car out of them but kif you go for huge power the evo will hold together better.

Don't know about holdng together better, the standard gearboxes blow over 400, the standard Subaru 6 speed doesn't, the rear diffs explode for fun, when have you heard of a Subaru rear dif blow? The just have problems in other places. I find the evos uncomortable to drive, they feel like a fast vectra with stiff suspension to me, just my opinion.

I find subaru's more fun to drive!

alot depends on whos built the high power car regarding how well it holds together, i like the look of some versions of evos, but to drive one, wat a let down No

Its quite nice to drive and very quick Smile

I prefer the impreza could of bought an evo but neva really fancy it, and i think subaru is more iconic and a beta alround car, neva drove one would like to drive an evenly matched powered one just to compare the 2. Think the evo interior is bad and so is that 4.5k servicing Rolling Eyes

is that not just the higher powered models like FQ400 etc coz of the rebuilds?

I looked at an FQ360 when I bought my Hawkeye, the suspension nearly broke my back, I told the sales guy he could keep the fing thing. I then saved 10k and bought the hawkeye which was a much nicer all round car.

I do like the look of the evo 10 but they are just the same, took one of them out for a test drive just before xmas and it was harder than my hawkeye even with the uprated suspension it has on now. It was also nearly £36k. I havnt spent much more than that in 4 years on the hawkeye.
